Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a minor in business and finance. Attending UCSB is what brought me to Santa Barbara, which has been my home for the last 4 decades. I have always been fascinated with the financial markets and business. I started my career at a Wall Street brokerage house that went by the wayside in the 1987 black Monday market crash. I have spent time in all three divisions of the retail financial services industry. Brokerage house, Bank financial services divisions with Bank of America and Wells Fargo, private client services, and then the independent channel as Registered Investment Advisor Representative. I possess Series 7,63,65,24 securities licenses, along with a California insurance license.
My commitment to my clients is rooted in a desire to see them master their financial lives in the ever-changing world we live in. I am dedicated to helping people manage their wealth and achieve their financial goals. My passion lies in teaching and empowering individuals to navigate the world of economic decisions, ensuring they understand the long-lasting impact these choices have on their lives.
In our society, financial literacy is often not prioritized, especially when individuals are focused on other pursuits. Growing older and busier, oftentimes, financial health can take a back seat. My father was a physician, and I came to appreciate that economic health is only second to physical health. This deep-rooted belief system has shaped my practice, where I work with many professionals’ small business owners and my specialty physicians.
I was raised in Menlo Park, California. Determined to earn my own money, my first job at age 12 was delivering the local newspaper and collecting the monthly subscription. I now reside in Montecito, where I have a love for Santa Barbara. My wife and I cherish spending quality time with our blended family and five grandchildren, whether that means beach surfing, skiing in the mountains, or other activities.
My lifelong passion for skiing began at 3 years old. I also enjoy cycling on Santa Barbara’s scenic roads. As a homeowner in Rincon Point, Carpinteria, I have served as a board member of the homeowners’ association. I volunteer with the Special Olympics and the Life Rolls On Foundation, helping disabled athletes experience the joy of surfing.
By choosing to work with me, you will receive all the attention you need to embrace your financial future. For my clients, I am the source to answer any questions they may have about finance. Not just stocks and bonds. If I don’t know the answer, I know someone who does and will make sure to get them referred to my clients.
